Holiday Gift Guides
Hi everyone! It is officially December which means it’s time to start tackling our Christmas shopping! If you’re anything like me, you put it off until the week before. If that’s the case, fear not, because I have rounded up some of my favorite gifts for anyone on your list! The first gift guide is for the hostess in your life, but I think it doubles as a guide for your girlfriends, in-laws, parents, or really anyone who enjoys hosting! The second guide is for any guy in your life – whether it be your brother, husband, FIL, or dad – I’ve got you covered! Sometimes I find gift guides with too many items to be overwhelming, so I stuck to my top 10 ideas per guide to keep things easy for you!
For the Hostess
1. Magnolia Table, Volume 2 – Let’s be honest – we all wish Joanna would come over to our homes and cook dinner for us every night! Gifting this cookbook is probably the closest thing we will get! I own Magnolia Table, Volume 1, and everything I have tried is absolutely delicious. This is the newest version and every recipe, from side dishes to desserts, looks amazing!
2. Pottery Barn Alphabet Marble Stopper – A wine stopper is a great gift for anyone who loves to entertain, or for anyone who enjoys wine! I love this alphabet marble stopper from Pottery Barn because it can be personalized with an initial!
3. Etsy Merry and Bright Napkins - These festive napkins would make a fun stocking stuffer, or could be added to another gift such as the cheese board or bar set. Etsy has tons of cute options, including these, which would look so festive and pretty on Christmas day!
4. Anthropologie Jar Candle - I have never met a gal who doesn’t love candles. If you are anything like me, you have about 5 stashed in a cabinet somewhere for back-up! These Anthropologie candles are some of my favorites because they smell amazing and look beautiful sitting on the counter or coffee table. Anthropologie always offers seasonal scents around the holidays, too!
5. Target 5-pc Bar Tool Set – A good bar set is a fun and practical gift for any hostess whose going to be serving up festive Christmas cocktails this holiday season. This 5-piece set with a gold stand from Target is a great affordable option.
6. KitchenAid Mixer– My fiancé, Chris, bought me one of these for Christmas last year and it is hands down one of the best gifts I have ever received. These mixers are a splurge, but I think they make a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys baking! There are also so many fun and useful attachments that can be purchased, such as a cheese shredder, fruit and vegetable spiralizer, and ice cream maker! My mom has been using the same KitchenAid mixer for over 20 years and it is still in great shape.
7. Southern Living Marble Handle Cheese Board – Every good hostess needs a cheese board! This marble and wood board is so pretty and can make any ordinary hors d’oeuvres look instantly fancy!
8. Cuisinart 15-piece White Knife Set - I have been using this knife set for over a year and I love it. I hand wash them after each use, and they have remained in pristine condition. Plus, they look beautiful sitting out on the counter.
9. Amazon Unbreakable Plastic Wine Glasses - I have this set of wine glasses In my cart! This elegant but practical set would be great for indoor or outdoor use and perfect for someone who loves to entertain. The best part? They are shatterproof!
10. Target Metal, Wood, and Leather Bar Cart – If you’re looking for a larger gift, or have a gal in your life with a new home, a bar cart is a great idea! I’m currently hunting for the perfect bar cart, and this is one of the best affordable options I have come across. Bar carts are great for entertaining, and can be left out year round and decorated beautifully for each season or holiday! I think they look so pretty displayed in a dining room, living room, or kitchen and can add so much character to a space.
For Him
1. Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger - Anyone else feel like their phone chargers are always disappearing? Or tangled into a giant knot in your junk drawer? The man in your life will feel organized when he places this wireless one on his night stand or desk, and his iphone, airpods, and watch will always be fully charged!
2. Smathers & Branson Needlepoint Can Cooler - These leather, hand stitched coozies will certainly dress up any drink and will quickly become his new favorite (and fanciest) coozie in the drawer. I love how there are so many designs and teams to choose from to make this gift even more personal.
3. Apple Airpods Pro - Any guy on your list will appreciate a pair of air pods to use while exercising, mowing the lawn, or on an airplane. These noise cancelling ones are the best!
4. Yeti Rambler 14 oz Mug With Standard Lid - Whether he’s going on a camping trip or headed to the office, the man in your life will love this Yeti mug to keep his coffee hot for hours. It comes in two sizes and lots of great colors for any guy. The copper color is my favorite!
5. Adidas Ultraboost 20 - It’s not only women who love a new pair of shoes!! I bought Chris this pair last year and he wears them almost daily. These shoes are stylish and also a great option if you’re buying for a runner.
6. Peter Millar Wool-Cashmere Quarter Zip Sweater – Peter Millar has the nicest quality quarter zips in so many good colors! I really love the neutral color of this one and it would be super soft and warm for the winter months since it’s made of wool and cashmere. Chris is planning on wearing one in this color for our engagement photos later this month!
7. Tecovas Large Duffle - Every man needs a classic and professional looking duffle bag for traveling. Does anyone else’s man still travel with his duffle bag from high school basketball? This premium leather bag is on Chris’s Christmas list! It includes zipper details, leather feet, and and interior key clip. I think the color of this one is so perfect!
8. Lululemon Pacebreaker Short 7” Liner - Chris has worn these lululemon shorts for years and he swears by them. They can be worn for pretty much anything, but this pair is great for running and training and even come with a secret compartment for holding his phone so he’s hands-free!
9. Yeti Tundra 45 Hard Cooler - Yeti coolers are the best for a day of golfing, boating, or tailgating and they keep drinks cold for DAYS! I got Chris this size for Christmas a few years ago and personalized it with an Illini logo. He uses it all the time! My dad also has one and loves it!
10. Carhartt Acrylic Watch Hat – I actually own this hat myself, but it makes a great gift for any man as well! It comes in TONS of colors, and would be great for camping, football games, or really any chilly weather activity! I think this color is really cool and would match with so many things.
After writing this post, I think my Christmas list got a whole lot longer! I hope you find something you love here, or feel inspired by my ideas. What are you asking for this year? Have you finished up all of your shopping or do you wait until the last minute? Thanks for stopping by and reading!
