The Best Chicken-Cheese Jalapeno Dip
It’s officially football season (Go Chiefs!) and everyone is looking for a delicious dish for game day (even if that means watching from your couch these days!) If you love cheese and like things a little spicy, look no further because this recipe is seriously the best (and super easy, too!) My mom has been making this dip for as long as I can remember, and I have now lost count of how many times I have made this dip for various parties, tailgates and get-togethers. I do know, however, that it is a total crowd pleaser. I don’t think I’ve ever taken it somewhere without someone asking for the recipe! Just grab a bag of tortilla chips (these are my favorite) and you’re all set!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:
· 12.5oz can of chicken (drained)
· 1 cup mayo
· 8 oz block cream cheese (I leave it on the counter for about 1 hour to soften)
· 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
· 4 oz can of diced chiles – not drained
· 4 oz can of diced jalapeños - drained
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix! I use my Kitchenaid mixer to combine all ingredients thoroughly (on low speed), but you can totally just use a spoon!
2. Put mixture into an oven-safe dish. I use a 7” x 11” glass baking dish
3. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes
4. Enjoy!
*TIP- I have found that the jalapeño juice is the hottest part. If you like things spicy, add more juice.
